What is paper trading?
Updated on August 11, 2026
Paper trading lets you practice with virtual funds using real market data — same charts, same order types, zero risk.
What you get
- A virtual starting balance that can be reset at any time.
- Real-time market depth and prices.
- Full order types: limit, market, stop-loss and take-profit.
What is different from live trading
- Fills are simulated — extreme liquidity effects may differ from a live order book.
- PnL does not affect your real assets.
- Paper trading accounts are separate from live accounts.
Who is it for
New traders can learn order placement without risk, and experienced traders can test strategies before committing capital. Enable it from the account menu in the trading terminal.
